Newly Qualified GP Conference

This was held at Bournemouth University on 20th April 2011. It is one of many initiatives being organised by the Wessex Tutors aimed at supporting newly qualified GPs.

The RCGP has a special interest in supporting GPs in their transition from ST3 to NQGP and onwards into their first five years post CCT, this has resulted from evidence showing that many NQGPs find this a very challenging time and some get into difficulty.

The conference was a great success and featured sessions on  career planning, marketing yourself, CV writing, locum chambers and personal finance.

The next NQGP conference is planned for 2012 and will be held in Portsmouth.
