Poole Trainers Group

We are a group of trainers based in and around the Poole Area.

We hold informal meetings every other month, invariably on Thursday lunchtime, sometimes stretching into the early afternoon.

We try to finish in time for members to return to their Practice to undertake an afternoon surgery.

The agenda is usually decided 1-3 meetings in advance but is often beefed out with topical issues that we feel should be addressed.

Outside speakers are often invited.

In addition to the more formal role, the group is intended to function as a mutually supportive forum for trainers. Problems and issues with current trainees can be confidentially aired and practical knowledge/ experience is shared amongst members.

The group also serves as a useful conduit for information being passed from the Bournemouth University GP centre and the Deanery.
