About the Practice

The doctors and staff are part of a professional and friendly team caring for approximately 8,500 patients in Sturminster Newton, Marnhull and the surrounding villages. We run a comprehensive health promotion and disease management service.

We are very fortunate to operate from two fabulous purpose built new premises. The main site is located in the town of Sturminster Newton and our branch surgery is in the village of Marnhull. All of our clinical services are run from rooms on the ground floor to ensure ease of access.   All trainees have exclusive use of their own consulting room, situated closed to their nominated trainer.  We have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and we strive to ensure all of our trainees have the best possible experience during their placement at the practice.

Special Interests within the practice

We work with CADAS to offer a substance misuse service to our own patients and those from other surgeries.

Matthew Cripps offers an NHS acupuncture service to both our own and patients within the North Dorset locality and convenes the GP Trainer group for North Dorset.

Jim Edwards is a representative on the Wessex Local Medical Committee.
